MARKÍZA – SLOVAKIA, spol. s r.o. was founded in 1993. Its portfolio consists of five television stations – TV Markíza, Doma, Dajto, Markíza KRIMI and Markíza International. The programming strategy of TV Markíza, which started broadcasting on 31 August 1996, focuses on providing top-quality family entertainment as well as professional and impartial news coverage. Broadcast content is also available via mobile apps and HbbTV. The flagship of MARKÍZA – SLOVAKIA, spol. s r.o.’s online portfolio is Voyo, an increasingly successful streaming service with more than 570,000 subscribers in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. It also includes the TV portal Markiza.sk with a free video archive and the news portal TVNOVINY.sk. Founded in 2007, the Markíza Foundation works on projects that aim to improve the quality of life of children and support their dreams and goals. MARKÍZA – SLOVAKIA, spol. s r.o. is a member of the multinational CME Group, which operates television stations in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Romania and Moldova, Slovakia and Slovenia, and is one of the leading media and entertainment companies in Central and Eastern Europe. CME broadcasts 43 TV channels, both free-to-air and paid, and reaches a total of 49 million viewers. CME is part of the portfolio of the international financial and investment group PPF.
