Slovenské elektrárne, a.s.

More than 70% of all electricity in Slovakia is produced by Slovenské elektrárne, a.s. Thanks to 5 nuclear units, 31 hydroelectric plants and after the end of coal burning, they produce 100% electricity without direct CO₂ emissions. Slovenské elektrárne was the first company in Eastern Europe to be included in the list of Europe’s Climate Leader, presented in 2021 by the prestigious economic daily Financial Times.
