Under the microscope: How to objectively assess compliance and whistleblowing reports

In collaboration with Slovak Telekom, we are delighted to invite you to an interactive workshop focused on one of the most sensitive areas of compliance practice: assessing reports objectively and fairly.

The workshop has been prepared by Zuzana Ižová from Slovak Telekom, who will lead the session together with Monika Mackaninová, a member of the SCC Board of Directors. They will take you through realistic scenarios from practice and demonstrate how to make decisions without bias, with a focus on objectivity, consistency, and sound governance principles.

What can you expect?

  • Analysis of realistic (fictional) compliance cases
  • Interactive scenarios and voting on possible courses of action
  • Group discussions and sharing different perspectives
  • Identifying the most common biases when assessing reports
  • Joint development of governance principles for fair decision-making in practice

We will focus on situations where:

  • The whistleblower is anonymous
  • The report appears accusatory or emotional
  • The whistleblower’s motive is unclear
  • The allegation concerns management
  • The report may appear strategic or personal

Join us to explore how to approach compliance reports fairly, consistently, and in a way that can withstand scrutiny—even in the most challenging situations.
